Hague Attic & Bathroom Remodel
Light in the Rafters: A Victorian Reinvented
This 1880 Victorian in St. Paul had plenty of historic charm — but its attic and second floor needed a refresh for modern living. We transformed the unused attic into a functional, inviting space, preserving original details while layering in contemporary comforts.
To improve access, we added a small dormer above the rear staircase, replacing a steep, unsafe stairway. The new dormer not only made the attic easier to reach but also flooded the space with natural light.
On the second floor, we reworked the layout to add a new primary bathroom, renovate the guest bath, and create a dedicated hallway to the guest bedroom-turned-office. The result? A home that feels both timeless and completely livable — ready for its next century of stories.
